The triumphant return to the gym!

Today I did 5 minutes on the elliptical, 2 sets at 80 lbs on the seated rowing machine, a shameful 13 bicep curls with 20 lbs (at least my form was correct!), and swam constantly (breast stroke, backstroke, treading water) for just over 20 minutes. I was (and am) exhausted!! At least I went and worked to my capacity.

Was planning on taking the baby and the dog for a walk but the thunderstorms have only gotten worse, sadly.

I also decided to stop tracking my exercise in My FitnessPal. I prefer to see the calories in my food without exercise factored in. Just another step towards my goal of eating sensibly and whenever I'm hungry.

Haven't been to the gym since Thursday, as Momo caught a nasty cold (probably from the daycare there, but hey, immune system building) and now I've got it , too. Tomorrow I plan to at least go paddle around in the pool.

Gotta remember that just because my plan falters doesn't mean I give up!

I'm really flagging, today. I managed  25 minutes of fairly intense cardio (warm up on arc trainer, workout on this crazy bike...thing) and that was all I could do. Still, though, better than nothing!

added bonus: Momo fell asleep in the swing at the daycare center, and went right back to sleep when we got home. Mama had a nice, long shower to celebrate!

I'm so boring...oh well!

Today I just swam for half an hour. Considering I'm feeling lazy and almost didn't go to the gym at all, I consider it a win!

Being sucky at something is the first step to being kinda good at something.

(Quote from Jake the Dog, and said to me today by my awesome friend, Kristin)

Welcome to my boring fitness blog! Here I'll be tracking my progress as I move from useless to fitness. This is mostly for me to have a place to track my progress daily, but public so that anyone who wants  to can check on me! I won't be tracking my diet as I do that already my fitness pal.

Yesterday: walking, interval setting, treadmill, 40 minutes.

Today:>5 minute warm up on the elliptical
>2 sets, 10 reps, 70lbs on the rowing machine
>13 bicep curls with 17.5lb freeweights, was trying to make it to 15, alas
>2 sets of 10 reps, 12 lbs freeweights, shoulder presses
>swam for 36 MINUTES UGH
> rewarded self with 5 minutes in the hot tub
